SIBO

Posted by Erika Lynn , 01 June 2012 · 167 views

Hey everyone!!!! I am writing this in hopes of helping others!!!  I was recently told by my doctor that 85% of IBS patients actually have what is known as small intestinal bacterial overgrowth!!! Some doctors believe the Ibs and sibo are interlinked but some do not, studies are still being done. but my point is sibo is treatable. they diagnose you by taking what is called a hydrogen breath test... I am currently on the medication for sibo, though I am not feeling better others of you may have the wrong diagnosis and could feel better so please stress the importance of being tested for that to your doctor because many of the doctors do not even mention it!!! I was told about this by a doctor at the University of Minnesota medical center! They are great down there, so please look into this... though it is not currently helping me, it could help one of you!!
Sincerely,
Erika
