Probiotics are the single most important "tool" for correcting your gastro-intestinal problem- no matter what it is. Acid Reflux- gas-bloating -indigestion-diarrhea- IBS-Colitis- U.C.-Leaky Gut-Crohn's you name it. These are some of the things that you need to know to make sure that you get the maximum results.
PROBIOTICS DO'S & DON'TS
THE DO'S
1. Do take them if you have IBS or any other Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
2. Do make sure it is one that needs to be kept refrigerated. (* always a bone of contention).
3. Do always take them with Colostrum – otherwise they won’t work!
4. Do make sure that it has multiple strains of bacteria.
5. Do take enough -capsules or powder- not doing so is one of the biggest mistakes that people make. Don’t pay too much attention to the “potency”- # of “bacterial units” ect- typically take at least 2 caps twice daily- don’t worry – it is impossible to overdose. Get a good one & just take a bunch.
6. Do always take them immediately after finishing antibiotics!
The Don’ts
1. Don’t believe that you can reverse IBD by eating lots of yoghurt.
2. Don’t believe them when they say Probiotics don’t need to be refrigerated- they are trying to sell you something.
3. Don’t forget the kids- or dogs- cat’s – hamsters- lizards- elephants or (mother in laws) or any other mammal that you have hanging around the house that has gas- diarrhea ect- the same rules apply.
4. Don’t take them with food - take them 1/2 hour before or 1 hour after you eat.
5. Don’t believe the myth that the specialized yeast probiotic saccharomyces boulardii will give you Candida- it is the opposite -it will make it go away- as well as stopping your diarrhea in it’s tracks.
6. Don’t try to explain to your Doctor how you made a complete recovery- he/she will not understand & attribute it to a “miracle”. It kinda is!
Well – those are the basics- so be sure to DO them & DON’T worry – follow those tips & you WILL get better. If you don’t – you won’t.
