Another transit test

Posted by em_t , 10 March 2011 · 44 views

So got another letter through from the hospital today and I've to do another transit test. My appointment's not until 15th April - bu t not looking forward to going through it again. I rang up the hospital because thought they must have made a mistake - but no ... they want me to do another one. Apparently the gastronenterologist meant to send me out one telling me why. The gastroenterologist wants me to go on Resolor (prucalopride) and see whether the transit test improves - I realise he wants to see if I have any success with it but it seems a bit like putting me through the wars again! I think the worst part is I can't take domperidone, my anti nausea medicine on it!

Ugh, just annoyed! I know I should be glad he's being thorough but could really do with another consultation with him as well! I'm literally nauseous everytime I eat - I break out in a fever and have the feeling I need to have the runs / be sick - sometimes I do go to the loo a bit or pass a bit of wind but the nausea is awful to deal with. I should go back to my doctor but they just don't listen, so back to lying on the sofa and feeling sorry for myself! Absolutely exhausted after the latest bout of nausea - looking forward to my bed tonight!

Hi Em: I have been dealing with illness for 4 years and finally have found someone who is willing to listen. I am seeing a G.I. and Naturopath. I too am currently sitting on my sofa crying and feeling sorry for myself. I get sick all the time!! Do not know how to make myself better. I have chronic IBS-A (alternate c & d) along with SIBO. I am sooo depressed. I am sorry you are going through this and know that you are not alone.
