I had struggled to get my previous/former primary care Dr. to address the IBS concerns I was experiencing. Finally, after I tried to communicate with dr. h. and instead an MRI of my brain was requested while the insurance company let the paperwork slip away.
So, the opportunity presented itself to change my Insurance company & primary Medical care provider. I received better office time, exam, numerous lab panel/tests that addressed the IBS-D and other related concerns.
Unfortunatily some past big pharma medications triggered the IBS-D, some I had ceased taking, and some I had to take such as antibiotics which prolonged the IBS-D.
My flare up easily lasted 10 months. But,slowly things are improving doing much better with my new Dr. B.
What is working for me now is supplements & dietary changes.
D3 supplements 2000 IU daily. I was test, rated a 7 out of a desireable 150-200 range.
Fish Oil caplets (taken paired-with Vit. D3 for better asorption)
B-complex & multivitamin
Vitamin C 2000 mg daily. broken in half, 1x4 daily IE every 6 or so hrs.
Evening Primrose Oil caplets 1000mg 3x daily
4-6 cups of Peppermint tea through the day.
1-3 Tablespoons of coconut oil taken orally, or in food preparation cooking.
Coconut milk & turmeric in meals: like thai fish molee etc on occassions.
La Fe or other brand of Coconut water/pulp 11oz container sipped slowly daily. (Very affordable at ethnic supermarkets Like Asian or Latino market. In example cost 3 for $1 vs Health food store costs.)
daily probiotics.
Rugby Motion sickness tablet, 1 daily (aka mecilzine hci 25mg) which is derived from a concentrated turmeric spice.
While avoiding quite hot or cold items to consume.
While still maintaining my Gluten free diet approuch.
So far so good, hope to stay the course.

Intends to buy some coconuts to experiment with making my own organic coconut opening properly, extract water, coconut milk, coconut oil, Coconut butter, and toasted coconut for recipes. Intentionally, Nutty about Coconut-tys
