parasites IBS
Found a little critter called a "fluke" in my poop today. At first I just freaked out assuming it was your standard intestinal worm, so I bought some medicine from CVS and cleaned all my sheets. But after actually researching what pin worms look like, I realized that this is not what I had and that the little guys looked more like the flatworms we studied in biology class. Found out that parasites are actually pretty common,(though this little guy isn't common in the USA) and can live in your body producing IBS-like symptoms for 20+ years..... Wondering if this has been the cause of my IBS....going to the clinic tomorrow after work. Is it weird that the thought of pin worms poking out of my ass at night creeped me out to the point of tears but the possibility of a fluke causing my many years of symptoms makes me feel so much better?
