Another bad spell

Posted by Brittany123 , 25 June 2012 · 117 views

it all started today i woke and i was feeling fine, and i was hanging out with my friend and than when i went to the bathroom everything just started too kiil me. I can not handle ibs and i hate how it will be fine and then it will just come out of no where and you never know how long it is going to. I am scared because tomorrow i am going to my tennis camp which is 2 hours long and i am afraid that it will start to hurt when i am there. Sometimes i just feel like nothing is ever going to go away and i feel like i will have ibs for my whole entire life. I know however that it has to get better one day i just dont know what day that will be. I just really hope that it gets better

Hey, have you figured out what your triggers are? have you tried low FODMAPs etc?
I (sadly) don't think IBS just goes away - in fact mine has gotten worse as I've gotten older (thankfully not as bad as what you're describing, perhaps since I have IBS-C, it's easy for me to just sit down and rest when I've got a sore tummy, the rest of my symptoms aren't obvious to other people).
I'm really sorry you have to go through this, I wouldn't wish it on anyone! All you can do is learn about your body and what it can and cannot handle in order to manage attacks in the future.
