Functional Abdominal Pain: Our diagnosis

After multiples exams, blood tests, scans, doctor visits, an endoscopy, a colonoscopy, etc.,  my son (age 15) has been diagnosed with Functional Abdominal Pain. His pain began on Jan.17, 2012 and he has been out of school ever since.  We are on various medications,and are seeing a clinical psychologist for hypnotherapy, however the pain has gotten worse.  At the advise of another parent whose child has been through this and is now pain free and normal for almost 2 weeks, we are attempting to get an appointment at Children's Hospital in Nashville, TN.  My prayers of hope go out to all abdominal pain sufferers and their families.
