bad week

this week my ibs as been so bad that i have not been able to leave the house i have been going up to 20 times a day
as any body got any ideas to help me

I'm so sorry. Have you tried the FODMAPS diet at all? I'm on day 3 and while I am not cured, I am feeling better a lot of the time (up and down, but more up).

Are you taking any medication? While I hate taking meds, I've found that antispasmodics have helped with my frequent bowel movements. They are designed to limit the amount of spasms occuring in your intestines that causes you to visit the restroom so often. I usually take mine either before or while I'm eating so that they can begin to work before my food gets there. At one point every time I ate, I was visiting the restroom multiple times relieving particles of non-digested food. So these pills allow more time for your food to break down and digest also (or so it has been the case for me). I would say visit your doctor and ask about it. They are not 100%, but a little relief can make a big difference.
