Well, it has been quite the week!
Right now, I have a severe back ache, "D", pit in my stomach and a headache. Not doing that great these days... the pain has been very bad yet, I do not want to increase my narcotics. I just wish to sleep more... very fatigued again.
Last weekend, I was in my shed looking for a particular box. I've been using a child's table that I made out of solid wood as a step stool. When I came down, the table legs snapped, and down I came. My left arm dented a wire rack, fell on top of my mountain bike and crashed to the floor. Fortunately, I landed square on the table that was propped up like a side of a tent. Had I landed on top of this shape "^"... I would have had serious injuries, my back could have easily been broken. I lied there for about 10 minutes crying out for help. Eventually, I got slowly up and stumbled towards my mobile trailer. My wife was just leaving to walk our German Shepherd and I called out to her. She helped me inside, cleaned my cuts, and put me to bed. Thankfully, no serious damage... just cuts & bruises.
Last night I was using the microwave cooking a premade meat loaf (Maple Leaf's products). I took it out of the microwave to turn the meat over after 5 minutes at high. Well, the sauce splashed through the saran wrap and landed on my left foot. Talk about pain! My foot was burning, I took my sock off and hobbled to the bathroom where I put some penaten cream on. Note! Pentenan cream is great for sore, red rectums too. While rubbing the cream on, a 2" square patch of skin came off. The burn area was roughly 3" square. I called my doctor (gp) here in my village and found him at home. He said to quickly come and see him. He looked at it, poured some solution over it, applied an ointment and dressing. My doctor did say that I did the right thing by having it professionally looked at.
I am now sitting in a rubber room typing this message and wearing a hockey helmet and protective gear, ha ha. Still waiting for my stool results to see if I have more C. Difficile. No longer taking any meds for C. Difficile, and I am still suspending all supplements until I hear that I test "negative". Currently, my medications have dropped a little... taking the following daily:
Dicetel 150 mg, Effexor XR 75 mg, Amitriptyling 10 mg (at night) and 80 mg of a controlled narcotic. In case of severe abdominal attacks, I'll take some Ativan and Buscopan. For excessive "D", I usually take loperamide.
Well, I see my doctor on Jan. 3rd, hopefully, my lab results would be in by then. If I test negative for C. Difficile then, I'll see my GI specialist in Regina. Had good news a week ago from my doctor. It appears that my portal veins in my liver are opening thus, trickling a bit... Yeah!!! My GI specialist, when I see him, would most likely give me a MRI or CT scan.
My christmas was very quiet this year. Had some Hutterite chicken, in lieu of turkey, with all the trimmings. I ate a full plate... and got away with it. Nothing is planned for New Year's Eve... I cannot even stay up that late unless, my IBS-D is acting up or possibly my liver, pancreas and gall bladder reminding me that they're still the boss! Well, I am very tired... fatigued and should lie down now. Happy New Year everyone. I am looking forward to be healed totally in 2008!!!
Take care my friends, and God Bless you all!!!
