Well not really....but pretty freakin' close! Malitol and Lacitol are on the "DON'T GET WITHIN 25 FEET OF ME" list. Malitol and Lacitol, even in tiny doses set me off quicker than anything. I swear I'll lose an organ out the bottom side with those attacks.Does anyone else have this problem?
Any of the sugar alcohols the -itol things (sorbitol and manitol are some others) can be very problematic for IBSers.They can loosen stools and increase gas for some people.They are found in some fruits so you may need to cook apples, pears, peaches, plums/prunes and cherries if they bother you as well.K.
