My story
Posted by Kozmogirl, Oct 26 2009, 01:53 PMI'm 31 and have been diagnosed with IBS about two years ago. I personally feel like they gave me that diagnosis because they could not really figure out what is wrong with me. I mean the symptoms for IBS are so different from one person to the other, it becomes quite easy to tag someone with it. How do you feel with that diagnosis? Do you sometimes feel like me, like they couldn't find what's wrong with you so they diagnosed you with a very vague disease, IBS?

Hi,
the diagnostic is simple, quick, and easy. For me, there was no test, the doctor listen to my symptoms, touch my stomach, that's it. I was very sceptical about this diagnosis. (IMG:http://www.ibsgroup.org/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) However, he also gave me some pills (dicetel) and they stop the symptoms rapidly. Few months after, I had another crisis. Again, the pills stopped all the problems. Then, I was convinced. Each time that I have a stressful period in my life, I have some problems. Also, I have a lot of gaz and this is really annoying me (IMG:http://www.ibsgroup.org/forums/style_emoticons/default/blush.gif) . Exercise help me a lot, and I have less symptoms since I do it regularly. Today, I'm a little bit depress because I have another crisis (the last one was two years ago). (IMG:http://www.ibsgroup.org/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) My body is telling me that something is going wrong: too much stress at work, not enough sleep, I didn't eat enough vegetable (fibers) lately... (IMG:http://www.ibsgroup.org/forums/style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) Hopefully I took some pills so I will feel better very soon.
