I know what works for one does not work for another but I also know how desperate we all are to try something to help the constipation "go" (IMG:http://www.ibsgroup.org/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Having tried nearly everything, and starting a routine of one magnesium per day(400mg) and one pot of Aktivia per day, some extra rolled oats mixed in with it,I drank a LOT of water on bad days too.

This helped but then I read about pears...and thought I would try them. Raw fruit is not too good for me so I bought tinned pears.I ate 2 halves on one day, no sirup etc, just the fruit.
Since then I eat one half per day and it seems to work.

Pears are a fibrous fruit and being tinned they are also very "wet" so go through quite quickly .
