I was wondering if anyone has found anything that eases the bloatedness,i suffer terribly with this every day, leaves me feeling uncomfortable and sick.I have done elimination diets to no avail,if i manage to have a BM, sometimes eases it,but i soon bloat up again usually within the hour.

im the same :(

after everything i eat, its a pain i get gas, i burp, its so strange and yeh it makes you feel sick somedays more than others.

i start off with my normal lil belly (im only slight) then have breakfast then it goes from there, its like it reacts to everything i eat, n strangley after dinner although im bloated still the pain eases up and the nausea does to (sometimes)

ive tired everything,i will have a bm in the morning, but get the bubbling sensation to do another throughout the day but i dont actually go, just pass ALOT of wind (from both ends :) )
it can be embarressing!

My bloatedness really does not ease that much,my problem is i persistently strain to move my bowels, but my BM's are always soft but do not come out without straining,so that leaves me feeling nauseated and sick to.I have a lot of wind to,what exciting lives we lead!On another forum i actually read that someone says to try fennel tea bags as they might help with the bloat!Worth a try.

I am taking Fybogel at the moment,is that what your mum has got for you?But as it can cause bloatedness when you first take it i am only taking a level teaspoon in the morning after breakfast to see how it goes, rather than the whole sachet. :(

I'm thinking of trying Charcoal capsules...I'm also on some laxatives for constipation at the moment, I'm just wondering if they can make constipation worse? Does anyone know?

I am new to the group and not sure I am posting this in the right place, but wanted to add about my problem with bloating. I usually start out each day with a flat tummy. Who know what starts it up, but when I get the bloating, it feels like in my intestines it is warm, slightly a tingley burning feeling, very , very annoying. It almost drives me to tears. I take Psyllium every day so I go regularly. It feels like the bloating starts up some crying spells and anxiety. Is our sympathetic nervous system tied up in our intestines??? Probably a silly question. I deal with a lot of physical issues, and sometimes it is hard to sort out what is coming from what. But when you bloat, does it feel like it even goes up into the ribs. Very uncomfortable.
I have dealt with IBS off and on my whole life, but this time it is so much more upsetting to me and seems worse with this itchy burney feeling running through my large colon. Just wondered if anyone else has this.

Thank you.

When I am bloated it feels like something is push from the inside against the tummy and also like i am being pumped full of air, it feels full of gas and wind that you can not shift. So painful.

Thanks for the heads up...seems like there's a few suggestions on what to take for bloating...hopefully we'll all find something that works eventually, it's just a shame it has to take so long.

I'm on mebeverine at the moment, only 2nd day in, but not feeling much benefit yet.

You could try Goats Milk or Soya milk as an alternative to cows milk.

i suffered from gas, bloatedness, feeling full all the time, and always straight after i had eaten and it would not go away. its been about 8 months since it all started (after my holiday to turkey.. i took imodeum and its been like this since then) i used to be as normal as a person could get before i went on holiday.

i got told lots of different things, i got told i had ibs, then i didnt. and then i did and then i didnt. i have no other symptoms other than feeling bloated and having gas.
iv been through tonnes of stuff, colonic irrigation, toxic tests, charcoal tabs, lactose tabs, senna, flaxseed, you name if, ive tried it!
but since january, each morning i have been taking one little bottle of pro-biotic yoghurt, 2x acidophillus tablets (10million bacteria in each tab), 1x DigestHerb tablet (artichoke tablets) and a vitamin b12 tablet. i also took New Era indigestion, colicky pain and flatulence tablets after each meal which helped, and i also had some Andrews salts with me at all times with REALLY worked! my symtoms have really reduced after using all this stuff.. i no i need to drink more water as well. i used to get terrible discomfort and embarrassing noises all the time and it really calmed down
i have been back to the doctors and was retold by another doc that i dont have ibs, and im just generally constipated, which is very common and can give you all the side effect of indigestion, feeling full, gas etc, so i am on Movicol (light relief to help get peristalsis back to normal) and im on my 5th day. not much has happened yet... but ive got a week and a half left. she also mentioned to try Fybogel
i hope i am just constipated and if i used these relief remedies, then hopefully my BMs will get back to normal which will reduce the gas because im not backed up any more :-)

*fingers crossed*

hope this helped

I have Ibs and am not constipated, I am the other way. with D. I still have bloating and wind 24/7, it does not just happen to people who are constipated with Ibs. You seem to be taking a large cocktail of different tablets. Have you tried Kolanticon liquid after every meal, its for bloating and wind.

yeah i no. its not really a cocktail though, they are all homeopathic remedies. nothing serious. and the doc told me to take them :-) its all the same good bacteria found in yogurt and b12 is just my vitamins :-)
ive tried tooo many things but lets hope this works :-) the movicol is not a strong laxative it just helps movment and fully emptying. ill have at look Kolanticon when ive finished the movical, because at the moment i am hoping i am just suffering from constipation. ive been told a million different things and being constipated is the simplest answer iv ever had. i actually had quite regular BMs before taking movicol but not emptying properly and them not passing easily is why doc said it was constipation. i used to get panic attacks and all sorts before i went through trial and error with all these remedies but i think i am starting to see some more normality now. :-)
