It is not one of the more common used for IBS. Usually "upset stomach" is more indigestion type of symptoms than diarrhea.

ok, thanks. i'll be trying in starting from tomorrow night.i'm switching from doxepin to seroquel.. doxepin was working for my ibs, but i couldn't sleep at all. i was using doxepin at 100mg every 2nd night and then 50mg every 2nd night so i'd go to the bathroom every 2nd day. i was also using imodium.how will seroquel affect my ibs? how will it change my situation? i'm really concerned about this.thanks

ok the seroquel is helping my IBS a lot, but i just can't sleep. i'm at 75mg and i fall asleep no problem, but i wake up 2 hours later without fail no matter what i do.is there anything else i can try? what other medications help with IBS-D? doxepin helped, but the sleep problem was similar. what about mitrazapine?

Maybe changing when you take the seroquel may help??? Have you discussed this sleep problem side effect with your Dr?

Well perhaps the side effect will wane off in time. Many side effects will go away after a short time of usage. So try to be patient with it for a bit yet maybe???
