Thanks again, guys. Renee, I will keep you posted once this gets sorted and would love to hear from Ed after the holidays. At the moment, we are packing to move and getting ready to spend some time with my sons, and eat a bunch of Chinese food for Christmas. (Kind of a Seinfeld Christmas, except it will come in all of those take out boxes.)

Have a Happy Christmas.

Here's a very MERRY CHRISTMAS to you, Mark. Hoping it will be a good Christmas for both of our families. It's getting crazy here, too. We are expecting one of Ed's cousins and his wife on the 26th. They are driving in from Nebraska and we are hoping that they don't get caught in a blizzard.

I think that this year will be a bit brighter for us than last year when Ed was newly diagnosed with prostrate cancer. This year he has completed most of the treatments and ha about 5 more weeks of radiation therapy to go. We're praying for good news at that time.
He will be in touch with you after the holidays.

Good luck on the packing and enjoy that Chinese food. I would kill for an egg roll and some fried rice but that's not to be for me.

Again, Merry Christmas to you and Marianne. Sing out those Christmas carols loud and clear.

Take care.

Just read this posting Mark (thanks BQ for pointing it out). So sorry to hear of your situation. I suppose the hernia was somewhat of a blessing in order to make you aware of what was lurking about.

Seinfeld Christmas isn't so bad... it's what we do every year! :)

Keep us posted on how things are going.

This all started out at a drop in clinic, since all of our doctors had moved on. Currently, I will be seeing a doctor at our old clinic who will take me on to get through the next year of "stuff." Right now I have an appointment with a urologist for January, through the drop in; an appointment to be set with a surgeon for January, through Emergency, because the doctor thought this might not be testicular and either more or less dangerous, but certainly something that needs to be addressed sooner, rather than later; and an appointment for later today with the new doctor. Boy, for someone who has traditionally avoided doctors' offices and has been able to supplement myself out of trouble, I feel like I just dove in to the deep end of the pool without my water wings.

Thanksgiving really caught my bowels by surprise, this year; so I am looking towards a great Szechuan meal from Victoria's best source of ginger fried beef come--in the spirit of the Costanzas--Festivus. (I only hope I don't have to do any wrestling as part of the celebrations.)

It's clear and chilly in Victoria, today. On the morning dog walk one of our neighbors asked why I hadn't moved to Mexico, yet. I have to figure out an answer that doesn't begin with "C."

Enjoy the Ginger Fried Beef! And just tell the neighbors you might be having a teensy attachment to deal with..... :)

Look at that for how these spammers work. The mention of "ginger" automatically enrolls and posts his advert. Kind of like Google; but it appears in the blog rather than on the side of the page. I guess that this kind of advertising is behind Google's new filtering system. At least this spammer isn't searching my e-mail as well for more key words.
