My parents are strict so going to school is necessary, but I fart a lot. I have kept track of my food diary. Basically anything I consume causes me to fart. Another thing to convince my parents is to eat earlier in the day that way food is digested and be able to poop before I go to school. I notice also that after I poop, I fart nonstop. Usualy it would calm down by the morning but when I go to school, my anxiety builds up again and I feel like I have to fart. I realize not many people can relate to this situation so they bully me. I had to transfer schools because it has gotten so bad. Everyone in my previous school knows about me farting, no one can take me seriously, I get mean looks, people throw things at me. I feel hated. The problem is, I cannot quit school. I just want to know what would it take to go through a day without farting. Whether I have IBS or not, other forums have mentioned farting is a natural occurence. I cannot bare to think about attending school longer than 5 hours. I am a freshman in college now (a long way to go) I want to pursue a bachelors, yes I am still bullied. Also this has started since freshman year in high school. I feel like the entire city knows I fart a lot. I am desperate and I just need to know how to stop along with my anxiety.

Have you tried using an anti-gas (simethicone) product WITH your meals? Or also some folks find a probiotic (Align, Culturelle, Florastor, Sustenex are some product names) to cut their gas production way down.
Please remember this is a group of folks seeking support on how to live with and manage IBS. THESE ARE ONLY MY OWN THOUGHTS. IF YOU WANT AN EXPERT OPINION, ASK A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL.

I was considering it, what happens if I take it when I am not eating or what happens if I take it when I began to feel anxious about the gas?
