For the last couple of days after my colonoscopy, my bowels worked "normally". That is to say, I had one movement on Tuesday and Wednesday and both looked completely acceptable. Today, it's business as usual. This morning (Thursday as we are a day ahead of the US) I have been to the toilet twice already and I am back to the mucusy, semi solid stuff that had me investigated by the gastroenterologist  !

And the question is??
You said you are back to your normal profile a couple days after the procedure. I would think that is what would be expected.

True enough! Although I still don't know what my diagnosis is. I find out on the 17 Feb. I have been tested for Celiacs, but I am highly doubtful that this is going to be the case. You need to have a family history and I don't appear to have any Celiacs in my family or extended family. They do say that 95% of Celiacs go undiagnosed, but you can sometimes assume from medical histories that a person was Celiacs. They used to say that a person had a stomach ailment or bowel issues because they hadn't been diagnosed. It is easier now because we are more advanced in our diagnostic methods. No one in my family anywhere seemed to have any issues of any sort with stomach, bowel, etc. However my brother has IBS.

I am still suspicious of my medication as the cause. I am also suspicious of IBS as the cause.

Get Ova and Parasite stool samples (at least 3) to rule a parasite out if you haven't already.

I have never been tested for parasites and I work with children! Regardless of how fastidious you are with hygiene methods, most of us end up getting something. I have had conjunctivitus twice. Depending on what turns up on the 17th Feb when I get my results, I will decide which way to turn.
