Hi there,

This is my first post. I will put my story in the other section, but i want to know if anyone else is obsessed with poking themselves in the spot they have sensations. I can't stop sometimes, and I think it make may make it worse. I am paranoid that there is something more wrong with me and I am always feeling for something, which I never find.

Am I totally weird, or what?

Ella

As someone who has neurotic tendencies, I cannot say if you are normal or if we are both twisted; but, yeah, I used to have a knife sharp pain on my belly button, that was distinctly IBS related, and I would touch that spot whenever that pain occurred.

I do this all the time when I'm pain. I'm not searching for anything, but it feels as if by gently touching and massaging, pain would be more bearable. I think it's a normal reaction to pain that most people have...

Well, that makes me feel better. Once in a while I think I feel something, but I can never find it again, which I take as a good sign. Mostly, touch makes me feel better. I need to do less poking and more massaging.
