I need to know if this happens to anyone else. Making a long story short, I came out of a long term of remission with a bang. While struggling with diarrhea yesterday, my entire head erupted in such pain as I have never had before. Somehow I made it out of the bathroom. Dizzy, sweating, and shaking, unable to move my head, I made it to the freezer and got the cold pack out. I tried to lie down and relax. It took two hours to get where I could move. Finally I took a fast release Tylenol. When that didn't help I took aspirin, and switched to heat for my head. I was so afraid of another bout of diarrhea I also took Imodium. Now I am terrified of going to the bathroom.

I remember this happening before, but it was years ago. And I also remember my doctor's eyes sort of glazing over with boredom while I was earnestly trying to make him understand what had happened. He sent me for a CAT scan which revealed nothing unusual. I'm used to feeling sick while on the potty, but this head pain I don't think I can get used to. I really need to know if this happens to anyone else.

Diagnosed 1984. 59 years old. Have been trying to ignore my IBS all this time. Now I seriously want help, and will do anything that helps.
