My car was having issues today, and I had planned to go the the museum with my daughter and then to the grocery store. Instead of giving into my anxiety as I always do, I took the bus. It was really anxiety provoking, but I made it. My IBS-D is not bad anymore, I only get D during the week before my period now, so only a couple days a month unless I eat something I know I shouldn't (dairy, alcohol, caffeine, greasy food). But, the anxiety and fear from having IBS is still there, even if I am feeling fine, like today. It was a pretty difficult experience, about an hour total on the bus. I just kept telling myself I could get off the bus anytime I wanted too. As added security (mostly to ease my mind), I brought toilet paper and a plasic bag in my purse, in case I needed to jump off the bus and couldn't find a bathroom in time. Not sure where exactly I would poop in a bag! LOL. But now I am just rambling. I guess it just sucks, but you can get thru it if/when the time calls for it.
