Is this typical in ibs sufferers? This is what I always have ever since my baby was born. I had diarrhea before this for two months and now type 5 stools for 5 months. I haven't had diarrhea since baby was born except for one day which I took immodium for. I go up to five times a day sometimes and always have that full feeling in my rectum and tailbone pain, is this common?I've never suffered ibs before and always thought it was either bad diarrhea or constipation. Type 5 stools don't change for me.I've been told my FBC is abnormal so I'm now panicking thinking the worst so if anyone could shed light on these symptoms I'd be grateful!

FBC

Forgive me, but what is FBC? And getting yourself into a panic will only make your gut worse so I would try to reign that in.I know I would be happy with type 5 so I would think your symptoms are mild. The full feeling could just be visceral hypersensitivity which is very common with IBS.

Full blood count sorry! I'm worried that anaemia might mean blood loss in my stool or something.I guess it could well be that , just was confused about the frequency. Going five times daily or so is quite a lot and abnormal for me really when before I got this seven months ago I was going once every couple of days and normal!

Some people with rectal hypersensitivity can do the several times a day with normal stools if the diet they eat or what they take helps to keep things under control (if they are doing it deliberately or not). There are lots of reasons to be anemic, not eating enough iron, I think the birth can drop you down, just from periods you can be low. So I wouldn't go to something scary and dangerous.
