Maybe I'm doing the wrong thing, but generally in the mornings I take two Imodium and if the D does not stop in an hour, I take one more. If I still am going, then I take two Lomotil, which usually stops everything in its tracks. Is this okay?

Sounds ok to me.I used to take 8 imodium every morning. If you can try to take imodium before an attack and you can also take some afterwards too.Imodium tends to work less well once the diarrhoea starts.
Diagnosed originally with microscopic colitis in 1992 but no inflammation detected on subsequent colonoscopies,so IBS diagnosed. Hoping to share my personal opinions and experiences to help others and become more aware myself. No medical training at all.
