Yeah Im struggling. I can't apply any logic to this.Started taking probiotics and for 2 weeks felt brilliant. Anyway, lapsed last Thursday and felt pretty rubbish since. Kept taking the probiotics but they aren't helping. Feeling bloated again tonight.Just watched a video on YouTube. Very informative. Talks about removing any bad bacteria from the gut then replenishing with new using various natural methods. Thinking of trying that. Fighting a loosing battle though!

I have suffered from IBS-D since I was 12 and I am 36 now. One thing that is sure to really upset my IBS-D is eating too close to bed time. Its even worse if I get drunk and then eat and then go to bed. If you are out drinking try making sure not to eat after 6 - 8 pm - essentially eat dinner at a normal time and then nothing else. Staying away from all fast-food has definatly helped my symptoms some. Either way if it continues, you should go to the doctor and get the full battery of tests for bacteria, physical problems that could be causing IBS-like symptoms, etc. Doctors cant cure IBS, but sometimes they can help make it a bit better - or cure other ailments that make you THINK you have IBS.Good luck bro.

Hi Neil, I'd say you should go and get a diagnosis. Start with your GP and move on from there. Your GP should recognise that you have a change in bowel habit that has lasted longer than three weeks and if unwilling to give a diagnosis based on your current symptoms, should refer you for further tests. IBS is often diagnosed by exclusion of other diseases. In the interim, you could try researching Calcium tablets or immodium. Both commonly used on a regular basis to reduce D.Good luck

I can't eat KFC bc they use preservatives and MSG in their recipies. I can't eat any buffets either. If this was a one time deal may be something fixable. Try again in the future, you may have an intolerance to certain foods/ingredients.
