I've been having IBS since the age of 16 and now I am 22 and It feels It has gotten worse during the years. I have terrible symptoms that sometimes I just feel like my insides are going to pop out my abdomen from all the pain and distension I have. I take my pain sometimes on my loved ones for no reason I don't know why , I hate my life so much some times but I keep moving forward for my loved ones . I have not have'd a girlfriend in 4 years and the only way I have gotten sex is paying some hooker there and I don't considered my self bad looking is that I am always almost home bound due to my constant pains In my abdomen. I just tend to argue lots with my loved ones and when It is all said and done I feel guilty In the inside cause they don't have any faults of what Is happening to me . I take some antidepressant but I guess It ain't doing much , I just feel lonely so much of the times and sad cause I don't have much friends cause I don't go out much . Oh god help me please.

I've been there, and consider yourself lucky that all you wanna do is hook up. When u build your life around a girl and get serious and *then* she slowly drifts away, that's when you'll really wanna take that bullet. Avoid at all costs if you can. As far as having to move forward for family, consider that incentive to keep yourself motivated and your mind busy. Ibs can be somewhat controlled when your busy and less stressed. Look in to it.

I agree, try to keep yourself busy and do go out. Do the things you want to do. Mine gets bad at times, but I have continued forward, it is hard at times, but usually it calms down at least for a bit and I can have some fun. We have IBS. Don't let it control you, do the things you want to do and basically say f* you ibs, I'm going to go out anyways. :)

I always say that to my IBS and go out anyway. It never ends well though. I come home with severe abdominal pain and bloating, and thank God that I managed to get to the bathroom in time. Whenever I try to intimidate my IBS it pushes right back, and it always wins. It's like there's someone else living in my brain controlling my colon, doing everything they can to make my life a living hell.
