So for past 5 days i have been off wheat, bananas, tomatoes, peppers. I cheated one night after work and had mcdonalds chicken nuggets ( just nuggets no fries or anything) next morning had diarrhea. But other than that been okay. Whenever i go gluten free my tummy feels funny like it has shrunk, it is softer and no bloating. Such a hard diet for me to follow though. I really want to try this fodmap diet but no idea where to begin.

Look into the 'Diet' section of the forum.generally to start the FODMAP diet your should expect to eliminate all FODMAP foods for 2-4 weeks. Then you would introduce (eat a meal rich in) a FODMAP group (it's not necessary to test every food, just foods within the groups) one at a time, wait 72 hours and see what happens. then (after you stabilize if it gave you a flare-up)introduce another group, wait another 72 hours and see what happens. There are five main groups, so it may take 5-10 weeks to do the testing. Here is a website with a good explanation of the 5 groups:http://www.healthhype.com/fodmap-diet-foods-to-avoid-in-ibs-bowel-disorders-with-bloating-and-gas.htmlHere is a website with a pretty good up-to-date FODMAP food list:http://www.cassandraforsythe.com/blog/Complete+FODMAP+List+For+a+Happy+Gut
