I have been taking lotronex for about two years now it has really helped but I still have my bad days more often than I want to. I take 2 mg per day one in the morning one at night. I also take at least 2 Imodium per day normally more along with dexilant to help my constant heart burn. I have had every test know to man multiple times and my doctors just can not seem to figure it out... I have been to many! I pay about $50 per month for my lotronex but my insurance pays up to $1400 a month for it! I think it is ridiculous how much it costs for something that can truly help so many people. I will not have the insurance I have in a year or so and I am now worried how I will be able to afford it!
I am about to take an overseas trip my first trip ever and the only reason I am able to go is because of LOTRONEX

Lotronex have given my life back for about 8 yrs now! 1mg, 2X/day for severe IBS-d. I am now a volunteer mentor for Lotronex.
MAIL ORDER thru your insurance plan is best. Drug store is too costly!
I now pay $95 for 3 month supply =6 boxes.
If you have trouble getting thru your mail order insurance plan, call Prometeus directly and let them know. 1-888-423-5227, opt 3
I had problems, Prometeus resolved. My insurance attempted to avoid me saving $ with the mail order.

I Have been on Lotronex for about a year and a half. Was taking 1 1/2 tabs and was working reasonably well. Way better than before, but still not good enough to work full time. About a month or so ago, I experienced an attack that has left me almost housebound. Now the Lotronex in the full dose alone no longer works and I'm popping Imodium like candy and drinking Questran multiple times/day.Has anyone else out there experienced a Lotronex failure?I'm also interested in just how much people are paying for this drug. For me retail is over $1100 and even with the Prometheus card, I'm still out over $360 per month with my insurance. Is that common to have to pay that much?Anyway, I'd be interested in knowing what other folks' experiences have been. Thanks, seabare.
Lotronex helps me a lot for 11 years now, along with Lomotil.
