Read more: http://www.livestron...343hJrZVSplenda can cause Diarrhea:http://www.livestrong.com/article/160544-splenda-side-effects/So tell him.. no more drinks with sugar substitutes (sorbitol is especially nasty). NO more G2. Drink plain old water or like I said water with pedialyte. The heat will contribute to Diarrhea in some people as well. So I don't know the job he has.. but on the extremely warm days he should consider skipping or making sure he gets inside iin the AC for at least some of the day. At LEAST til the D stops.Have him try taking some Calcium Carbonate daily and see if that firms up the stool.... (You can use TUMS Ultra.)No junk food... Eat a bland diet for a bit... Try the BRAT diet (Bananas Rice Applesauce Toast) for a couple days and then slowly add other low fat foods in. Lean proteins baked, boiled, broiled or grilled; like chicken, turkey even some white fish etc. Skip mayo or any other sauces or gravies... unless they are fat free. You can make tuna/chicken salad by using micro-chopped celery/cucumber with the meat micro chopped as well. It comes out almost like a spreadable pate. No need for mayo. Season lightly. (I have seen the micro choppers for as low as $5 in the food stores or Wallyworld)Keep us posted on how he is doing. And I sincerely hope he feels better real soon.
Sugars and SweetenersGatorade G2 contains the following sugars and sweeteners: high fructose corn syrup, sucrose syrup, sucralose and acesulfame potassium. Sucralose is more commonly known by the brand name Splenda. Acesulfame potassium is an artificial sweetener which also provides potassium.

This is definitely not part of IBS. Have you had your back checked out? You really need to see a specialist.. like a neurologist or something...
