Here I am at nearly 1am Christmas morning, with about a million places to go tomorrow, and I'm wide awake with anxiety, UGH!! I'm doing better about getting out, and have been since July (thank goodness!!), but tomorrow I have a long trip in the morning without a single bathroom open anywhere between here and there Posted Image !! And mornings are so bad for me. I'm getting worried about it. I'm going to drive myself, but certainly don't want to embarrass myself before I get there Posted Image I may just break down and take some Immodium. I have Colitis though, and it gives me horrible heartburn for some reason. Right now I'm trying to figure out which is the worse of the 2....D or heartburn. I guess I can be thankful that, with all the excitement of the holidays, I am at least not C!! I'm just scared that good ole D will hit me in the morning during my trip. Boy, I sure hope not Posted Image Wish me luck and please sent some good vibes my way. I hope tomorrow will be smooth sailing Posted Image Merry Christmas everyone Posted Image

PHEWWWWWWWWWW!! I made it, I made it Posted Image !! I was so nervous about it, but I did great after all Posted Image And here's the kicker...I didn't even get to drive myself, because it was SOOOOOOOOOOO cold, and even after 10 minutes of letting my little car (my little 89 Mazda 626 Posted Image ) 'warm up', the windows were still frosted over, and it was ccccccccold in there!! So I threw caution to the wind and just rode with my hubby in our 2001 Dodge Ram. Nice & toasty and lots of room for presents in the back seat Posted Image Once I noticed that most gas stations were open, I did fine. It's funny, if I know there are no places open to stop, I'll get D for SURE. But I actually do okay if I know there are places to stop!! I am so thankful that everything worked out this year. I can remember last year at this time, my stomach and anxiety attacks were so bad that I was completely homebound. I was actually feeling suicidal at one point. Boy, what a turn-around from last year. This year, since July, has been great. Took a lot of prayer, but BOY, God is so good!! I almost feel as good as I used to Posted Image !! Not a day passes that I don't thank Him. I doubt I would've made it through these last few hectic days without His help. Merry Christmas everybody, and thanks for the suggestions!!

Merry Christmas!! Posted Image I say for this one time, take the Immodium, and take some Maalox or Pepcid AC or something for the heartburn, before you get the heartburn.Good luck!

I completely understand what you are talking about. We live 9 hours from both of our homes *hubby in the army*, and although I havent had the problems for awhile, IM nervous again about going home. My IBS doesnt really act up unless I eat something though so... I would take the Immodium and also take some fast acting Mylanta or something. Mylanta is a must have in this house,as I have acid reflux as well. I can totally relate to the *which is the lesser evil*. I hope your trip went well...
