Has anyone on the BB been told that they have found cycts in the gallbladder? That was the results of my sonigram. They scanned the liver, gallbladder, spleen and pancreasr and he "THE SPECIALIST" said that everything looked normal. I had cysts in the gallbladder and he would "KEEP AN EYE ON IT".The reason that I ask is because I am reading alot tonight on this BB about gallbladder disease. My pain is never under the breast. The majority of it comes above the navel (almost at the base of the stomach) and it doesn't circle around to the back. Does any of this sound familiar to you?labergin

labergin,My gall bladder attacks felt like labor pains.Bad induced labor pains.sometimes they moved up and downI had already been diagnosed with I BS and no one ever thought to check my gall bladder.Believe me if I had known what I learne from Charlies,Linda B and hey kates postings on gall bladder I would gotten those test way long before I had to suffer the way I did. Start watching for when you get the pain.If it is your gallbladder pain will ussually start with in minutes of eating fatty greasy meals. silly me waited to go to emergency with the last attack.I even thought I was having a heart attack at one point. So the point is MAKE that doctor leave no stone Or cyst unturned.I would get another doctor.Cysts or stones are not supposed to be in your gall bladder.Just gall.Get it checkedAnd keep us posted.Heres good thoughts and prayers coming your way.Love Pattee

Labergin - my surgeon (Charlie ), told me that gallbladder pain can manifest itself differently in different people. Do you have the other symptoms of IBS? Cramping and diahrrea or constipation? I don't know enough about cysts in the GB to advise you. I've never heard of it. Do you have a lot of abdominal pain? Does eating fried/fatty foods make you sick? (Make the pain worse and make you nauseous?)

as pattee states cysts do not belong on your gallbladder, are they sure they are not stones? i would still go forward and focus on that gallbladder, only because they said that everything look fine except for your g/b charlie

My 8 yr old has this kind of pain around the navel and the pain never travels. It's not a bad pain and only last at the most 30 min. at a time. She has this anywhere from 1 - 7 days a week. I should mention this has went on for over a year.Is navel pain g/b trouble???

Patti Ann2 - you don't mention whether or not you've had a doctor check your 8 yr old out about this pain. My kids often get mysterious pains - and I've taken them to doctors only to be told they're "growing pains" and don't worry about them (they do eventually go away!). I would first check with a doctor. But if there is no fatigue or nausea associated with them, and if they've been there for a year without changing, I wouldn't worry about it. My pain is in the upper right quadrant - behind the breast - it radiates around to the back. My experience hasn't been any pain in the naval area - but maybe others have. My symtoms are pretty severe. Somehow, I don't think what you are dealing with is gallbladder. Hope this helps.Kathy
