Hi I just found out I have IBS. I don't know much about it yet. I've had a gastric bypass 4 yrs ago. Gall bladder removed 3 yrs ago and a hysterectomy 2 months ago. I notice more than anything STRESS causes me to have really bad pain. I am also a chronic depressive so I'm already on antidepressants but my dr added amitryptiline (sp) a few days ago. what am I in for? I'm under tremendous stress in my home situation right now. Thanks

Gastric bypass can cause a condition called "dumping syndrome". I would read about it (do a Google search) and see if the symptoms are similar to what you are experiencing.
27 million Americans are affected by thyroid disease. Half of those do not know they have it. Thyroid disease strikes women at a ratio of 7:1. ALL women over 35 should be screened for thyroid disease annually. Diarrhea and constipation are just two of the many symptoms of thyroid disease. Moderator of http://www.mediboard.com/graves
