So, after 5 years of Diarrheal-IBS and specialists treating the symptoms and not the underlying cause, I finally figured out what the cause is. I'm allergic to apples. Not cooked apples, only fresh apples. It's called Oral Allergy Syndrome: was eating an apple every day (you know the saying), but it left me feeling flushed for a couple of minutes following it. That's the only symptoms I had. My allergist (yesterday) said that it was an atypical development of symptoms, but I've been GI symptom free for over 2 weeks without apples!!!My allergist also said that I can do skin pricks at home to check for further allergies. The syndrome comes in groups of food (all fresh, and all are either a fruit or vegetable). Just squeeze some juice on the underneath of my arm and irritate with a small sharp nail. Not far enough to draw blood. Please read the article, it comes packed with references and truths about the healthcare community and our subjective description of symptoms. "You like apples? I'm IBS free thanks to apples. How do you like them apples?"Best of luck to you all.
