I thought I'd start a thread where we could concentrate the questions and answers on how to do things. So they aren't spread out all over the board on a bunch of different threads. So any questions you have about something put it here and hopefully someone will figure out the answer soon.It always takes awhile to find all the stuff on the board. :) :) :(

I think her question was about the old ones on the other board (I think Jeff may be able to get us access over there so you have more time to copy them). That was one thing that didnt translate. To send someone a message put your mouse over their name on a post and there is a list of things you can do. One of them is send a message.Up in the bar where it says Logged in as.... My controls, etc. On the far right is a place it tells you if you have new messages.I haven't played with that much, yet, so I don't know a lot of info, just what I have seen.

I got my time right by trial and error. If you live in the Eastern Time Zone of the US you will need to use the above instructions and then click on GTM-4. (Have no idea why--it is called Atlantic Time Zone as I recall.)
"Midnight Moonlight, shining through the curtain lace, paints a perfect picture on your perfect face.
"You are the promise I knew God would keep, you are the gift that makes my world complete.
"And you'll never know how much I love you, but I'll keep on telling you my whole life through.
"Now I believe in miracles, and you're the reason why. So dream on while I sing you Scarlett's lullaby."

This may be a real silly question... but I just had to ask (:() ...What is the "adding someone to your friend list" for? I played with the user control etc and tried this with a few people... I'm a little confused -- what does one do (or what's going to happen) after adding someone as a friend ??? Anyone? Thanks in advance for your explanation/help! :)

I think it's the same as the old board when you have a list of friends, or buddies we were called, it is easier to send a pm to them? My questions are: does it seem like this site is slowww......???Also, the options above, like the fonts, and sizes, how exactly are they used? Can anyone give examples? What does "toggle side panel" mean?

I changed the font color of this part of the post by highlighting it and clicking the A with the scroll and picking a colorI changed which font this part of the post was by highlighting it and clicking the font with the scroll and picking a fontI changed the font size of this part of the post by highlighting it and clicking sizes with the scroll and picking a size.Toggle side Panel makes the stuff on the left side of where you write the post go away and come back. :(

Other than when people look at your profile they can see who your friends are, I think the big advantage is that when you want to PM them you can do it from your list on the profile rather than having to type in their name or go find one of their posts to click on the PM feature there.

Hi, Kathleen (or anyone who sees this who knows),I'm in the same boat as Sue (I've never used the friend list feature when we were using the old board)... I got emails about being added to other people's lists, but then I don't know what to do to accept their invite -- is there a button somewhere that I missed that says "accept" or something? :( Thanks a bunch for your help! :)

Not sure about the friends, I didnīt have friends on the old board, either- LOL Sue :) -. Cherrie, I got an email that you added me as a friend. Then I added you as my friend as well. I found in My Friends there is an option Mutual Friens and there you can see who added you as a friend and also who are your mutual friends. So now I guess when you added me as a friend and I added you , we are now mutual friends LOL. I think there is not necessary to do anything more, no acceptations , at least I think so :(

Though what do we do with all these lovely people - have a rave or summat? I'll bring the Smiths and Simple Minds - if you bring the shampoo and sexy tree surgeons!!!Sue

Sue, course I donīt mind. I added you as my friend and now there was written: SueV has to accept your friend invitation. I donīt know :( , maybe you could try to add me once again? Not sure.. And I think if you want to PM with somebody ( so that noone other can see your posts) , you have to be a friend with them . So thatīs probably wath a friend list is for :)

And... intereting -- I always thought that mutual friends means, like, A is B's friend, B is C's friend, so B is A and C's mutual friend... Hehe, here it seems that if two people added each other as friends, it means that they are mutual friends??? :( And, THANKS for the add, guys! :)
