Found help at the health food store

For years I have suffered from IBS. I have a long family history of bowel disorders and take this very seriously. I have made numerous trips to my doctor(s) who has offered varying treatments - mostly involving taking copius amounts of medication or even one who suggested I seek the advice of a mental health professional. I am a gluten-free vegan, partly from a moral stance and partly in an attempt to ease the pain. I think doctors think I am nuts for the way I choose to eat!

I gave up on attaining the advice of 'medical professionals' and started researching relief on my own.

I have recently been experiencing a bout of exaggerated symptoms. It seems that no matter what I eat (or don't eat) I cannot escape the discomfort. I made a trip to my local health food store in the hopes that I might find an alternative treatment - and I did!

For the past few days I have been following every meal with a cocktail of 1. Charcoal tablets 2. Peppermint tablets and 3. Aloe Vera Juice. It works. Within hours I felt better than I swear I have in years.

The symptoms are not entirely gone, but the pain and discomfort has subsided to the point that I feel normal again.

I don't entirely disregard the advice of doctors, but in my case anyway, help came in the form of a well-informed retail professional. I received what I have been longing for since the onset of my problems - a chance to eleviate the cause instead of masking the symptoms.

I hope this helps anyone who may have experienced similar issues.
