I had a terrible bout of sickness and diarrhoea lasted 4 days, didn't go to the doctor just carried on with life as soon as I could stand.Never felt well since, after about 3 months thought I'd better check out the 'change in bowel habits'got sent for a colonoscopy, because of my age! Doctor started talking about colitis and crohns and then gave me mesalazine, I had a terrible reaction to it and suffered horrendous stomach pain, but even so 2 different doctors insisted I take it again the consultant even insisted I try another brand of the same medication. Then they started messing with the meds I had for GERD, saying they were the cause of all my problems. After a year of rubbish treatment I changed hospitals and after another colonoscopy they have decided I have IBS-PI. I have followed lots of advice over the last 3 months regarding food diaries and diet changes but just when I think I have it nailed I get another bout which reminds me just how bad it can get.I hope I haven't bored anyone.
