I'm new to this site, stumbled across it yesterday, and it's great to be able to be able to relate and find advise as I have learned to suffer in silence as my partner thinks I complain for attention. He even convinced me it was all in my head for a while. He just doesn't understand how I can feel ill all the while and nothing helps.

I was diagnosed with IBS when i was 15 (now 32). Back then I suffered bad abdominal cramping where I was unable to move, bouts would lasts for a week or to but were solved with tabs off the doctor. I had various tests from blood to scans then they confirmed IBS. For years it was manageable with just the odd bout until my second child was born, when bouts turned into constant indigestion, nausea, and cramps. I was treated for about 12 months for having a stomach ulcer then symptoms just stopped and life carried on as normal until I had my next child little niggles. I just thought I was very unfortunate to pick up regular tummy bugs until five months ago and I haven't had a break since, constant alternating symptoms of nausea, indigestion loads of excess acid headaches and trapped wind but permanent abdominal cramps and fluctuating between constipation and diarrhea unless I'm menstruating which completely knocks me off my feet with bad diarrhea cramps nausea headaches and very weak and light headed. I have been had more blood tests and again they confirmed its IBS.
I have tried different pills for sickness and for spasms in the gut fiber gell mebeverine,am currently taking hyoscine butylbromide(buscopan) 4x a day am on calcium supplements.

I have tried peppermint tea, drops they helped for about a week then symptoms came back I constantly fluctuate between Gaviscon wind tablets and antacids have tried everything over the counter they all suppress for a few days then symptoms soon come back. I haven't even found a painkiller to touch the cramps am fed up.. I am now trying yoga for IBS symptoms have been doing it for about two weeks which amuses my two year old as he thinks he can wrestle me am hoping it will eventually give some relief, but I would be grateful for any advise on what could help my symptoms. I wish everyone luck in finding something that works for them too. ps sos for my rambling on I think I just needed to get it out.
