Men's Gas Pain

I was wondering if any other men with IBS experience some of the same symptoms as I do on a regular basis. Specifically, I would like to know if anyone gets sometimes severe cramping very low down in the abdomen with pain that extends all the way to the tip of the penis. When I get this pain it can last for a few hours but is relieved when I have a bowel movement. I am curious if this something other males have had to deal with and if so what have you done to ease the discomfort.

Thanks for your help.

I do not have such pain but what you describe is actually explained by how the nerve network is structured.

Its the same nerves that goes from our low abdomen to the penis so that's just the pain traveling ( just like back pain can radiate through the head).

In general i find that gas pain is relieved on the long term by exercise, so maybe you could try that.

For instant relief you could try charcoal as it has a good reputation for gas pain.

If its not gas it can be from a spasm, which also is relieved by exercise.

How's your diet ?

Yeah, huge impact for me had diet and after I sorted it out with my doctor my situation definitely improved. Not that they completely disappeared, but were much less frequent. Please tell us how you eat, for everyone works something different so I would also advise you to contact a doctor, preferably a specialist in this field. Good consultation and help is worth any money.

I have a similar issue but my pain does not extend into my penis. My pain is from the top of my right hip down to the right testicle. I also have relief after a BM but not afterwards the pain returns. Tonight I had a severe pinching sensation between my right testicle and leg. No fun.

When my pain is at it's worst I feel like there is a gas bubble on my right side. This leads me to believe that there could be something wrong with my ascending colon. GP says it's IBS. I have tried gluten free, no help. Now trying low FODMAPs.

I am also trying organic beef broth with collagen. Pepperment tea seems to help too.

If you're still experiencing the symptoms, I would advise you see a doctor and get an abdominal ct-scan. It would enable the prostate gland to be checked for inflammation or infection which can cause the pain you've described.
