Does anyone who follows the low FODMAP diet know if drinking something like 1 ounce of apple/(or any "high fodmap" fruit) juice a day is ok? It is a long story why I ask, but it is in a seaweed supplement I drink, but I'm hoping since it is only 1 ounce it may not matter too much? thanks!

what i've generally read is that it's suggested to follow the FODMAP diet strictly for approximately four weeks. after that, what you are typically supposed to do is challenge each group--such as eat a tablespoon of honey for fructose. Wait a few days and then if nothing happens try another fructose food. and then go on to challenging another FODMAP group, food by food, etc.
that's what i've done. i eat a moderate FODMAP diet since i've found that only certain foods bother me.
so if drinking the seaweed supplement isn't bothering you, then it's ok to go ahead and drink it.
with FODMAP, everyone is different. some people can't have any FODMAPs at all. others find that it might only be one group that bothers them. it's all about experimenting and determining your own particular sensitivities keeping a food diary helps.
the FODMAP diet is meant to be a four to six week diet to determine your sensitivities, although some people might also find that they need to be on it long term. basically the diet reduces fermentable carbohydrates which provides symptom relief for many people, but starves both our good and bad bacteria of the prebiotics they use for growth. That is why many people recommend challenging food groups later on, so that you can have as many prebiotics in your diet as possible. that way you have a healthier gut microbiome. and better you get better nutrition, too.
