Hello! I have been suffering from IBS for about 8 months now. The low fodmap diet has greatly helped me control my symptoms. This is more of just a general question; it really could apply to anyone.
Every now and then, I will have a bowel movement that is just one or two small pieces. The consistency is normal. Sometimes there is a little bit of mucous but not always. It isn't hard, like I am constipated. I am unsure as to why this happens. It doesn't seem to happen after eating something in particular, nor does it occur in a pattern with other types of BMs that I have. I asked my mom about it and she says that it is "normal and just happens sometimes." (She, nor anyone else in my family has been diagnosed with IBS.)
Does anyone else experience this? Does anyone understand the reason behind it?
It doesn't cause me discomfort, but I just feel like this shouldn't happen if I am eating right, which I am.
Any input would be greatly appreciated
