I am conducting a research study for the University of Bristol, UK. The study tries to find out how IBS and changes in mood are related and as many participants as possible are needed to increase the statistical power.
This study can potentially help in the search for cure for IBS and Depression and will add to the overall knowledge of the topic, helping other researchers with their work.
To find out the direction of causation between IBS and Depression a longitudinal study is needed.
The current research involves filling out a 2-3 minute questionnaire every day for 14 days and the only requirement is that you currently suffer from IBS or any other issue that results in bowel problems. It is a very simple but effective task and I would be very grateful if as many of you as possible would help me with this research.
I am happy to send reminder emails/Facebook messages/texts or any other form of reminders on a daily basis for 14 days if you feel like you might forget to complete the Questionnaire every day.
All data and participation in this study is anonymous.
Please fill out the Demographics Questionnaire once at the beginning of the study. Following that please complete the Questionnaire for Monday on a Monday etc.
Thank you very much for your participation,
