Heartburn type pain that reaches roof of my mouth?

It's on the right hand side where the cramps are and it goes into the roof of my mouth and my right shoulder.

What is it? What can I do to shift it? I'm trying Imodium instants which help a bit.

of course we can't diagnose people on here--you should see your doctor for that--but here is my experience:  i have  that--heartburn type pain that reaches the roof of my mouth.  my gastro doc dx'd me with LPR--laryngopharyngeal reflux.

he put me on a PPI for it (prilosec) but, as i've read can happen with LPR,  it didn't seem to help much.  i tried all the other ppis too but they didn't help either.    i also tried the other things mentioned in the above article.

talk to your doc about this.  good luck. hope you can find some relief.  take care.

You are right of course, diagnosis cannot be made on the forum.

But I am grateful someone else knows what I am talking about, although I am sorry you have suffered the same symptoms.

I would rather not take any medication and just use my heat pad or drink water. Thankfully I don't suffer that often.

I am going to try peppermint tea.

Anything alternate that I could try?

peppermint tea can be soothing to the tummy but it makes heartburn worse.  if you do decide to take it, maybe just drink a little bit at first to see if it will aggravate your heartburn.

good luck.
