I am new here. Suffer from IBS-C, bits of anxiety & many food allergies.
I stumbled on intermittent fasting. I tried it. I am now a month & a half into it & I am now having regular bowel movements, 1x per day most days, some days 2x, & I may miss a day here & there but have not gone more than a day between movements.
I used to go 3, 4 or more days between movements where I would end up taking a laxative because of the pain.
My fasting is usually between 14-16 hours most nights.
I havent changed really anything else.
Just wanted to share this as it has been a GODSEND for me. I find my concentration is better & I am not anywhere near as worried as I used to be, find myself with more patience, etc...

I also have IBS-C but I can't fast as I have to take depression meds after food. But what I can do is eat less. I do take laxative.

Fasting is just an excellent way to deal with IBS C. Absolutely excellent. Relieves symptoms 100% of the time and has no unpleasant side effects except hunger, plus tons of other health benefits.
