Ok, I'm sure you guys will want to hear this little story. In case you forgot, I'm im in college.. anyways, this friday I have a simple 5 minute presentation to do in front of the class with 2 other people in my group. Of course, I'm worrying about getting an attack while standing up there in front of the class ... only 5 minutes!!! Geese.. and I worry about that. It's funny cuz I tried to probe the other guys into letting me go first so I could get my part over with. That way, while im standing there in the front watching the other guys do their parts, I could always hop out to the bathroom if the need arose. But OHH NOOO.. I have to go on LAST! Yes last! I have to stand there for like 10 minutes (each person does 5 mins) and then give mine. Which leaves no time to hit the bathroom just in case. Just though you guys might find this humorous because I sure do! I'll probably just wake up a lot earlier to "empty my system" and make sure I dont eat anything heh.k.

Well good luck I am sure you will do fine on an empty stomach and after the presentation is over you can celebrate by eating !!! Did you tell the others why you wanted to go first?? Maybe if they knew why they would be more understanding
Good luck! I hate getting in front of a group of people too - talk about nervous! But it gets better! I run meetings all the time now with nary a flutter. You'll be fine - keep telling yourself that it's only a few minutes. And maybe some immodium might not be a bad idea after all!
Let us know how it goes.------------------Fear can hold you prisoner. Hope can set you free.Missycat

kbombI totally understand. I've had my share of presentations in school and I always got a little nervous beforehand. And you're right, it sucks to be LAST. You know what I always found though? I would get rumbles and cramps for about an hour or two before presentations and exams. Sometimes I would even have to go to the bathroom several times. But I've always found that once the test or whatever gets underway, I start feeling more relaxed, and usually I get terrible hunger pains too. This is because I don't eat before. In my 5 years of being in university, I've had the big D before these major stress events, but I've never had to run to the bathroom during them. But if you are worried, take a couple of Immodiums just to be safe, I find the new Immodium Advanced tablets really help with the crampy feeling.
