Hi guys, I'm kinda new here. Have been suffering with pretty constant bowel troubles and pain for the last few months, although I've had a rubbish year health wise- had suspected swine flu, normal flu, water infections and what I thought was a hangover from hell which made me sick to my stomach...think that may have started this problem then numerous antibiotics may have added to it????Also, I suffer from M.E which I had recovered from but now seems to be majorly flaring due to all this-I know they are linked and it's a vicious circle between the two!I am seeing a specialist 4 weeks tomorrow (I'm counting!) for my bowels, pretty sure it's IBS as bowels are all over the place- one minute constipated, next the other, colour of stools vary dramatically and all the other issues with gas-but I'm trying to help myself in the meantime.Am currently taking Lansaprazole for acid and have taken Colfac for cramps, though the pain is a lot better now. I've got Acidophilis as thought that may help, is it ok to take with Lansaprazole? Thanks in advance for any advice.

If I were you I'd take a closer look at how many and which antibiotics you were on and for how long. I have what appears to be irreversible damage from antibiotics but have no plans to give up on trying to fix it. Diet and probiotics have helped a ton but I have a long way to go.
