Just wanted to post something positive for a change (well for me anyway!) I am feeling so much better that I went back to the gym 2day. Very gentle but it was lovely to do some exercise. I feel better mainly through not being at work (it's the school summer hols-I teach) and through taking zoloft. Hope it continues. I still have 'iffy' days but not as bad as they once were.

Stedwell-Is it hard to be a teacher since you have IBS? I have posted this topic before but am still very worried. I am currently in college and will be teaching in about a year. How do you deal with having an attack while being in the classroom? I am very worried about this but do not want to give up my dream of teaching. Any advice would be helpful...thanks!

My problem is ibsc so I never have a mad dash to the bathroom. I just have days where I feel very unwell. I always say that there is no job quite like teaching for totally taking over your mind so that any problems - even feeling ill are forgotten. Some days it is only when the children have gone home that I sit down and realise how unwell I feel. Of course if you are ibsd then I realise that your problems will be totally different to mine. Keep on with your dream I'm sure you will cope and don't let the job stress you out!
