I have no other problems, and the pain is not bad- more like serous discomfort. bad enough so i can't go to sleep. what's unusual and annoying about this is it lasts for hours. it starts 2-3 hours after eating evening meal and may continue unti 2-3-4 a.m. . which of course makes it hard to get up the next morning. my stomach feels bloated or like it needs to release gas.so i take gas-x, followed by Tums 2 or 3 at a time. I usually lie down when doing this as it is not comfortable to sit up or move around. at the end of all this i may have a bm if i'm lucky, and that usually ends it.i take one prylosec every morning, and one before dinner. at dinner i take 2 beanos.i have seen a good gi doctor about 5 times. he does not know what to do for me. he gives me those meds.it is getting worse the last couple months, and could strike 3-4 nights in a row.during the day nothing happens- it is alays only at tnight also i should mention i'm 82 years oldso i would appreciate any ideas anyone has

Welcome :(You might want to try taking the Gas X WITH your meals so it is actually co-located with the food. Also have you ever tried good digestive enzymes? (Health Food store or like a GNC would carry these.)They too would be taken with meals. Also have you tried maybe hiking up the top of your mattress a bit?? Maybe putting a good thick book or two under the top part of your mattress or using an extra pillow to raise you head a bit? Some folks say these things have helped them.Keep us posted on how you are doing!
