About.com- IBS and Your Period
Do any of you remember the television show In Living Color? A classic from that show was a skit in which a man with a megaphone was advising another man as to how to deal with his wife's PMS: "Get out of the house...this is an emergency".
All kidding aside, there is nothing funny about dealing with unpleasant physical symptoms triggered by the menstrual cycle. Many women with IBS percieve a link between their period and their IBS symptoms. This perception is supported by research, as can be seen by my new article:
