The newest entry to my own personal IBS Hall of Shame is a British railroad company, Southern Railways. UK-Based reports that the company is no longer operating trains with toilets between Brighton and Portsmouth, a 90 minute ride. According to the MailOnline report, a spokesperson for the railroad minimized potential patient discomfort, stating that patients could visit a restroom prior to the trip. To me, ninety minutes is an eternity if you are having a bad IBS attack, any type of incontinence difficulty, or traveling with a toddler or an elderly person.
