HiI see my consultant tomorrow privately, as I carnt wait till end of may to see him on the NHS.I still have upper pain that is located inbetween my rib cage, which is the stomach, small inst, or ?.. pain diect going down the body. I have a BM every day, so that side has improved. What other test can he do for me. I am on Nexium , but have developed sores in my mouth and a sore throat, and told to stop taking them.I still get reflux and a taste in my mouth. What could this be?.. Could this be liver inflamation, pancrease or Gall Bladder?. .. bad inflamation ?So desparate to be well againFiona

GERD is Acid reflux disease.Functional Dyspepsia is Upper GI discomfort, like IBS it is in the nerves mis-signalling, not something wrong.Gastritis is irritation of the stomach lining. The other things is a hiatal hernia (could cause symptoms but doesn't have to).I would get an upper GI scope to look at the esophagus to the stomach first and rule that in or out because it sounds like that is the most likely source of the problem and focusing on every other organ but the stomach and esophagus doesn't sound like the place to start. Some links for you, I think they all have a treatment link.http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/gerd/ds00967Dyspepsiahttp://www.mayoclinic.com/health/indigestion/DS01141http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/stomach-pain/DS00524Gastritishttp://www.mayoclinic.com/health/gastritis/DS00488Hiatal Herniahttp://www.mayoclinic.com/health/hiatal-hernia/DS00099

Check with your doctor, and if you haven't had routine tests maybe it is time to have some routine blood work done. But I wouldn't ignore stomach as it is a very likely source of the problems.
