I logged on to the net to find out why I have D and stomach cramps in stressful situations after laparoscopic gallbladder removal in December and somehow ended up here. Is irritable bowel syndrome common after this kind of surgery?
I have has IBS ever since my Gallbladder removal 3 years ago. All I can tell you is that the symptoms seem to clear up then come back with a vengence for no apparent reason. It is totally miserable and I know exactly how you feel.Mine seems to get worse with any type of dairy, alcohol, or red meats.Hope you find some relief
I had mine out three years ago, as well. I had a lot of D problems for the first few months then things clearned up. I still have to watch what I eat, fatty foods and watch my stress level. I still had D and cramping from time to time but overall things have really improved. Hang in there chances and good luck
I had my gall bladder removed in 1976 and had attacks of urgent diarrhea ever since then. I now have it under control taking Caltrate Plus with viatmin D and minerals. This is an OTC calcium supplement you can get most any place. I take one tablet with each meal and I have been symptom free since July 1998. Let me know if I can answer any questions. Email me.Linda------------------
