How does one know if the aloe vera capsules that they take has latex in them? Could it be called something more scientific than just "latex"? I don't see latex listed on the bottle but it could be disguised as something else??!!

Unless the preparation is done in specific ways ALL aloe extracts will have some latex in them.If the Mucilagenous Protiens have been purified (the stuff that is not the latex) that should have very little latex in it.But if you just grind up and dry the leaves, or press the juice out of it there will be some latex in the preparation. Most herbal medicines ARE NOT quantified for all the things that are in the plant so it is pretty much a your guess as to what is in them.K.
